6 Pack - Owlerton Stadium

The weekend starts on a Thursday right…

Oracle is Leeds largest waterfront venue in the city, located in the heart of Brewery Wharf, overlooking the River Aire. A stunning 360-degree glass building spilt onto 2 levels, Oracle offers something for everybody.

Oracle’s Ground Floor Bar and Terrace has recently been refurnished and is now home to ‘The Kitchen’ with a fantastic menu from Bocca. The ground floor bar has an indoor capacity of 250, plus outdoor seating for over 100 people. Open Wed – Sun in Summer, with an extensive drinks and cocktail menu, it makes the perfect setting for Private and Corporate events as well as after work drinks and socializing at weekends.

Me and a group of friends were well overdue a catch up and the only night we were all free was Thursday, so we decided to go to down to Oracle and check out their new ‘Thirsty Thursdays’ night. Enjoy one main course pizza, pasta or salad or two small nibbles from the bocca menu with bottomless prosecco for 90 minutes for just £20, wow what a bargain, so obviously we all went for it.

As there were 4 of us we decided to get two pizzas, one pasta dish and one salad and share it all, my ideal way of eating, I love to share.

We decided to go for the chargrilled chicken salad, carnivora pizza which is sliced baby meat balls, grilled chicken strips, ham strips and spicy Italian sausage on a tomato and mozzarella base, the gamberi pizza with tiger prawns, fresh chillies drizzled with homemade pesto on a tomato and mozzarella base and the verdure mista rigatoni which is a diced peppers, black olives, mushrooms in a rich tomato sauce.

We were all well into the brunch, the bubbles were flowing and kept getting topped up we were never left empty., the staff were spot on cant fault them. Food came out shortly after and all looked amazing I couldn’t wait to tuck in. There was so much I didn’t know where to start. The food was so fresh and tasty I soon changed my mind and didn’t want tot share I wanted to eat it all.

The 90 minutes flew by and before we knew it time was up, shows we had a good time the free-flowing prosecco obviously helped. It was a nice sunny day when we went down so we decided to have a drink on the terrace after our brunch, it’s a lovely setting perfect for the sunny nights and to watch the sun go down.

If you have already eaten or simply just want to skip food and go straight for the drink, then they have an offer on prosecco at just £15 a bottle and pints of Coors for just £3 a pint every Thursday 5pm- 7pm, after work drinks never sounded so good.

So, you should go down and give it a try but if Thursdays are not your thing then don’t worry they do the same offer on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday too. On a Friday it is called ‘thank fizz its Friday’ from 5pm where you can choose one main meal from the street food menu and 90 minutes of bottomless prosecco, Bellini’s and mimosas every Friday. If you are a none drinker then don’t panic you can also have unlimited mocktails as well, so they cater for everyone not just the drinkers. All for the unbelievable price of £20 per head.

If Saturday is more your thing then why not try the party brunch every Saturday at oracle from 12pm-7;30pm. One main course, bottomless prosecco for 90 minutes and a DJ for just £25 a head or if you are a Sunday sesh kind of person then you are in luck as the offer continues into Sunday. ‘Sunday bottomless brunch’ again choose any main course from the bocca Italian street food menu and 90 minutes of free-flowing prosecco at again just £25 a head you really can’t go wrong it would cost you more to make it yourself. So, come on guys what are you waiting for.

If it’s just food that you’re after, then it is available inside or on the terrace everyday from 12-8pm. Also, on the bocca menu they offer some sharing platters which are just £20 per platter and serves 4 people, perfect if you just want a few nibbles rather than a main meal and you can choose from meat, fish or vegetarian platter.

For any occasions you have coming up whether it be a party, engagement, anniversary, whatever the occasion then let Oracle’s experienced event management team host and organize it for you. Oracle Ground Floor has a capacity of 250 standing and an outdoor capacity of 100 seated and 200 standing making it ideal for summer events and BBQ’s.

They have an extensive range of menus available to choose from for all your catering needs and dietary requirement, from a BBQ menu, to hog roast hot and cold buffets right through to a canape menu, you really will be spoilt for choice.

Every Saturday Oracle hosts a Club night which has a different theme and genre of music each week so look out for the flyers and Instagram posts for more info. We all had a wicked time down at Oracle as always and I will be back. In fact, I am planning to go down again on a Thursday this month for my birthday for Thirsty Thursday with the lads. Thanks for having us oracle until the next time… Adam.
