FROM AFTERNOON TEA TO YOUR NEXT BUSINESS MEETING, LEEDS LANDMARK THE QUEENS HOTEL IS THE PERFECT VENUE
Leeds is blessed with a wide variety of prestigious landmarks, luxurious hotels and wonderful venues. Without a doubt, one of City Dweller Magazine’s favourites is The Queens Hotel.
The mighty hotel, which stands over City Square and is fantastically located next to Leeds Train station, oozes class; from the glamorous decor through to the standard of service you receive from their expertly trained staff.
While The Queens’ famous reputation for being a wonderful hotel and venue for an event is well earned, it’s also the perfect venue for the everyday City Dweller. If you’re looking for a restaurant or bar in the city centre, The Queens should definitely be on your list. You only have to join them for a quick evening drink to realise that they go the extra mile to make sure every visit you have is a truly memorable experience.
Combining a unique ambience with a wide range of food offerings, the restaurant and bar area at The Queens is one of their main attractions. For an evening meal in the city, their Grilled at The Queens menu is one of the city’s highlights for all meat eaters. You’ll find classic meat dishes complemented by tantalising starters like Paprika-Dusted Whitebait and desserts such as Chocolate Beetroot cake. We can’t think of anything better to impress a loved one then taking them for a meal like this!
But it’s their Afternoon Tea which really separates them from most of their competitors. Served in The Queens Bar, beautifully furnished in their classic 1930s Art Deco style, it’s a glamorous environment where all guests can enjoy a range of sweet and savoury foods, and even a relaxing drink or two if they fancy it!
The time honoured tradition at The Queens is the ideal way to take a well deserved break from a day shopping in the city centre. Served daily between 2pm and 5pm, from just £14.95 per person, their Afternoon Tea menu features classic finger sandwiches such as Smoked Salmon, Whipped Cream Cheese and Caviar that can be enjoyed before a range of scrumptious sweet foods such as a Lemon Drizzle Cake and their Wild Berry Eton Mess.
At City Dweller Magazine, we recognise that sometimes we can all feel in a bit of decadent mood and nowhere caters for this more than The Queens. They offer you the option to upgrade your Afternoon Tea to include a glass of sparkling rosé, a glass of champagne, a cocktail or gin.
Speaking from experience, we’d recommend going all the way and opting for their Gin Afternoon Tea. For just £28.00 per person, guests can enjoy all of the above and a teapot of Beefeater Gin.
We’ve also got a fantastic reader offer, check it out below to get 25% off Afternoon Tea at The Queens Hotel.
If Afternoon Tea isn’t what you’re after then The Queens covers just about everything else you could want in a city centre venue. From business meetings and conferences, to events and celebrations, The Queens combines style with sophistication. It’s no surprise that they’re one of the leading venues for conference and events in Leeds with no less than 16 meeting rooms and the stunning Queen’s Ballroom which accommodates up to 500 people and is arguably the most opulent venue in the whole of Leeds.
The excitement doesn’t stop there for The Queens Hotel either. To confirm their reputation as one of Leeds’ best venues for anything from a night’s stay in the city to a wonderful destination for a few cocktails, they’re also launching a new gin bar. The City Dweller Magazine team just can’t wait to check it out!
