Carols For Christmas

This year’s Carols for Christmas at Leeds Minster see’s Macmillan Cancer Support joining with Maggie’s and Leeds Cares to create a magical evening of celebration. Come along and enjoy an array of musical talents to get everyone in the Christmas spirit! Returning again, by popular demand, The Leeds Pipe Band will welcome guests when doors open at 6.30pm. They will be followed by performers new to this year’s event as well as past favourites including The Grammar School at Leeds String Ensemble.  It promises to be another evening packed full of inspiring Christmas Carols and festive entertainment for your delight.

All funds raised from this event will be shared between Macmillan Cancer Support, which provides practical, medical and financial provision for those affected by cancer and constantly aim to push for better cancer care, Leeds Cares, based at St. James’s University Hospital, which provides information, emotional support and supportive therapies to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis and the new Maggie’s centre due to open in the spring next year. Last year, we reached and supported over 15,000 people affected by cancer through the service at the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre in Leeds.

Thanks to the generosity of the acts donating their talents, local sponsorship and your support, all money raised goes directly to supporting those affected by cancer. Macmillan are here to help you find your best way through from the moment of diagnosis, so you’re able to live life as fully as you can.
