Cash for Kids ‘Super Hero Day’ takes place on 10th May 2019

Providing support for disadvantaged children in Leeds and West Yorkshire

Not all heroes wear capes

Cash for Kids launches its ‘Superhero Day’ campaign this week on Radio Aire in Leeds. Cash for Kids Superhero Day is a National fundraising campaign running across all 21 Cash for Kids sites. Supporters are asked to dress up, fundraise and donate on Friday 10thMay. All the money raised will stay in the local community within which it was raised.

We’re asking people to sign up their school, college, university, business or place of work and join in! This is a chance for people in Leeds and West Yorkshire to reveal the superhero in them and to make a real difference to local kids with disabilities and disadvantaged children.

What you choose to do can be as wacky as you want: from locking up your boss, holding a super quiz, a onesie day, or holding a superhero dress up day at your nursery or school. You could even do a challenge and get sponsored by your family, work colleagues and friends. Not all superheroes wear capes, the wackier your idea, the better and no contribution is too small – if we all work together we can make a huge difference to local children.

Make sure you register online at www.radioaire.co.uk/superheroday to let us know what you are doing to get involved, and remember to hashtag #superheroday on all your social media. You can also support by textingAIRE to 70808 to make a £5 donation (texts are charged at standard rate and 100% of the donation will go to Cash for Kids). For more information visit www.radioaire.co.uk

Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids will also be hosting an online auction which launches at 9am on Friday 3rdMay and closes at 9am on Tuesday 14thMay. All the items have been donated and they are over 100 items (worth a total over £9000). There is something to suit every taste and budget with opening bids for some items starting at just £5. Please visit www.radioaire.co.uk/auction for all the details from 3rdMay.
