Dakota Deluxe Leeds in line up for UK’s Best Hotel Award
Dakota Deluxe Leeds has been shortlisted for an exclusive high-profile award.
The newly-opened boutique hotel in Leeds is the only northern hotel to be shortlisted for the UK’s ‘Best Hotel’ in the prestigious GQ Food and Drink Awards 2018, alongside an overwhelmingly southern-centric shortlist including, Nobu (London), The Ned (London), The Mandrake (London) and Lympstone Manor (Exmouth).
The annual awards, now in its fourth year, are run by the British GQ Magazine and presented by Veuve Clicquot. Established as one of the premier events in the food and drinks calendar, the entries are based on thousands of votes cast by the public from across the country. The winners will be chosen by a panel of experts and will be announced in June.
Andrew Creese, General Manager at Dakota Deluxe Leeds, said: “We are delighted to be recognised as one of the best hotels among GQ’s discerning readership and it is an honour to be the only hotel in the North to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. The team at Dakota strive to create memorable experiences for each and every guest through its hospitality, food and décor, and we are thrilled that our efforts are being acknowledged nationally.”
Dakota Deluxe Leeds oozes luxury contemporary elegance with its dark colour palette, soft furnishings and low lighting. Its 84-bedrooms offers an ensuite rainfall shower, whilst its executive rooms and suites come with a complimentary stocked mini fridge for the perfect night in.
Its stunning bar and grill serves steaks cooked on hot coals, fresh fish and delectable delicious desserts while its Salon Privé is one of Leeds’ most exclusive cocktail destinations, showcasing outstanding mixology and a venerable “liquid museum” of spirits. The hotel has also just launched its first Afternoon Tea menu, which is presented on elegant stands and features a selection of quintessential sweet and savoury items, all handmade by the head chef.
