CCTV/Alarm/Access Engineers

Gough & Kelly is a Leeds based NSI Gold approved contractor specializing in the installation and maintenance of CCTV (IP and analogue), Intruder and Fire Alarms, and Access Control systems.

Established in 1988 we operate throughout the North of England, and occasionally beyond, for a wide variety of clients including primary, secondary and further Education establishments, Local Authorities, commercial bodies, professional sports clubs and high end residential work.

We are looking to recruit talented and enthusiastic engineers with experience across one or more of our specialist fields of work, and to be based from our head office in Leeds.

Duties will include installation, service, maintenance and repair works as well as being competent and presentable in a customer facing role. Past experience is essential and knowledge of monitored systems is important.

Package will include generous pay structure and van. Applicants should submit their CV including specific product knowledge as well as current and expected salary.

CCTV – Control

We are looking for a CCTV-Control Officer within the York District. The Shift pattern for this vacancy is 5 on 5 off which are 12 hour shifts. They are day shifts with these operational times: 10:00hrs – 22:00hrs and 08:00hrs –20:00hrs.  The pay rate for this position is £7.45.
To operate and monitor all systems within the control room in an efficient manner and ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, legislation and the codes of practice.
Assist in obtaining and maintaining the British Standards 7958:2005.
To liaise with the Police, other agencies and members of staff to ensure the appropriate use of the system. To include all evidential records and witness statements to a standard acceptable to the rules of evidee.
To record all events and actions taken in a clear and accurate written format. To provide an efficient and courteous radio and telephone answering service and deal efficiently with all enquires.
To report equipment failure to the site supervisor to maximise operation of the system.
To maintain a secure system for providing data in accordance with regulations set up and ensure the security of the control room and equipment is maintained at all times.

Skills and experience:

It is Essential that the applicant has a SIA CCTV Licence.
The ideal applicant will be punctual, honest and trustworthy. Have an excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask and have good problem solving and organisational skills. You will need to have good communication and customer service skills.
CCTV Operator is desirable but not essential as training is giving.

CCTV Operator – York

Transport Administrator

To work within a busy transport office and within this office you daily duties will include:
Ensuring the electronic signals are up to date and maintained.
Monitor cameras to ensure SLA’s are complied with and keeping database up to date.
Any other tasks required of you.
Skills and Experience:
The desirable candidate MUST HAVE IT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE as this is essential. You will need to be pro-active and have the ability to remain calm under pressure to ensure tight deadline are kept. Have excellent organisational skills and problem solving skills. The right candidate must be presentable, punctual, honest and trustworthy.

Security Officer

This vacancy is based within the York district with an hourly rate of £7.45. The hours for this position are 60 hours plus per week. The starting time is17:00hrs to 08:00hrs on a Monday to Friday basis and Saturday and Sunday08:00hrs to 20:00hrs.

·Car Park checks.
·Fire Marshall Duties.
·CCTV camera patrols.
·Meeting rooms bookings.
·Normal security duties.
Skills Experience:
The desirable candidate will be punctual and presentable. They must have an SIA Licence and have good communication skills. Security Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Be pro-active and have problem solving skills.
