Illuminated Night Carnival Parade Workshop
with Cirque Bijou
Light Night Leeds is looking for people to participate in a workshop led by the contemporary circus company, Cirque Bijou, and to take part in the festival’s Illuminated Night Carnival Parade.
Participants will learn short routines/movement sequences using Cirque Bijou’s LED Umbrellas to be performed during the parade. You don’t need to be a dancer – just enthusiastic! Inspired by the rainbow colours of the umbrellas, we are specifically looking for members of the LGBTQ+ community to take part and represent the vibrant Leeds scene.
During the parade you will be joined by some incredible lanterns, drummers, dancers and performers from Leeds West Indian Carnival. It’s due to be our most exciting parade to date – and will no doubt be a really unique experience.
Workshop – 4pm Thursday October 5th, Leeds Town Hall
Parade – 7.30pm – 8.30pm Thursday 5th October, Leeds City Centre
