KRIS AND CHARLOTTE VISIT ROXY BALL ROOM, TRYING OUT ALL THE BAR HAS TO OFFER

I have to admit, myself and Charlotte were pretty excited when asked to do our next review for the fun packed Roxy Ball Room… 2 years ago we actually had our first date here which is always a delight to remember.

Being avid foodies, we are much used to dining out often and not heading out to see what adrenaline fuelled nights we could have in the city.

Here at Roxy there is much to offer, on entrance we were greeted by two lovely members of their team who had a full night of fun prepared for us.

It was a steady Friday around Leeds with it being January and all, but in here was like any other month. Absolutely packed with people just out for a good time.

We were taken to one of the many American pool tables to start our evening off. I potted a few balls in a competitive fashion, but decided to be a gent and let the lady win, well that’s what I told her after, when in fact I’m rubbish at pool. This was great to warm things up. The small price for half an hour on the tables off peak is £4.50 or £6 at peak times.

Next up was the ping pong, I’m also pretty pants at this but it is quite funny. Backwards and forwards and chasing balls under the table, you actually get quite into it and play more than a few games. It’s entertaining to see other people chasing the balls around and losing them in the crowds of people. Ping Pong is again priced at a mere £4.50 per half hour off peak and £6 per hour at peak times.

Once we were finally out of breath or as I saw it, panting, we were taken up to the next floor to play Mini golf. We had played this a few times at different venues but to have this all under one roof is a great addition to any night.

Roxy golf has 9 holes, and is priced at only £5 per person, bargain! This seems to be where the true competitors come out of their shells as it does get very entertaining yet frustrating. Couples will find this best as it really does make you giggle. I’m actually ok at mini golf, but still makes for a good chuckle with the other half.

Once all the fun and frolics were had, it was time to do our favourite thing, Eat!!! Roxy has a very impressive menu, seriously mouth- watering plates and sharing platters.

We were recommended the sharing platter which consisted of sliced margarita pizza, mac and cheese bites, onion rings, sticky chorizo on skewers and messy fries lathered in ham and cheese.

I would advise ordering a platter like this towards the end of your night as I had to ask for a wheelbarrow to take me home in.

Roxy are not shy on portion sizes and you really do get what you pay for here. No shortcuts are taken; everything is presented to you with a real care. The staff here are exceptional and really do go out of their way to ensure everyone is having real good fun.

After a good few hours here it really does take you out of your usual routine of 9-5 work with the standard meal after.

We can’t wait to come back!

Thanks to the guys at Roxy… you were amazing!
