Military Day at Elland Road

LUFC
A large number of the region’s servicemen and women, including members of the Yorkshire Regiment, Paras, Royal Dragoons, Royal Navy, the Royal British Legion, Air and Sea Cadets, the RAF, and the Navy, will be welcomed to Elland Road for Saturday’s game against Charlton Athletic.

To mark ‘Military Day’ at Elland Road, the Royal Dragoon Guards military band will be playing ahead of the teams entering the field, so please ensure you enter the stadium in good time to pay tribute to our servicemen and women.

Members of the military will then link up with a selection of youngsters participating in our ‘Grassroots’ scheme to form a guard of honour as the teams enter the pitch.

On Saturday, as is tradition with our end-of-season fixture at Elland Road, the club will hold a minute’s applause before kick-off to remember those we have lost over the course of the season.

And, following the full-time whistle, the players and coaching staff will embark on a lap of honour to thank you for your support throughout the campaign.
