LEEDS CITY MAGAZINE LOOK AT ACTOR JACK PARR’S CAREER AND HIS

RECENT SUCCESSES

Jack Parr is a young northern actor living in London. We first met Jack when he was living in Leeds when he started acting.

Since then he has moved on to London and achieved great things. In his first year of moving to London he landed a nation wide commercial that saw him on TVs, billboards, buses and underground stations.

After that he starred in a gripping LGBT short film that exploded into film festivals all over the world, receiving amazing awards and reviews. Awards were for best film, best actor, best screenplay, best director, best cinematographer to name a few. And the reviews were outstanding saying Jack was exceptional in the film and the film got 5 stars across the board.

Jacks career has jetted off since This World We Live In and he has been filming TV Commercials, short films and indie films since.

His latest feature film is Wretched Things, an LGBT independent film by young Leeds local film makers, and the Director, writer and award winner Gage Oxley. They just had their premiere last week for Wretched Things in Vue Leicester Square where Jack was snapped by photographers and later appeared in the Daily Mail.

From This World We Live In, Jack received stellar reviews form magazines and critics such as “The nuanced performance of Jack Parr made the ending gut-wrenching” by The Film Magazine and “Thanks to Jack Parr, who absolutely nails his performance. He’s a incredibly talented actor, and there’s a commitment to the role that clearly stands out.” By Ochii Magazine.

Jack then received endless messages from people from all over the world saying how they are emotionally effected by the film and it was told beautifully. Jack also received two fan mails to sign for his work.

After that Jack continued to work in indie films such as The Hidden Track which is a film based on a Russian novel where Jack plays a failed musician, turning to drugs and booze to down his sorrows. We will see the release of this film in 2019.

After this Jack continued to work with the award winning Leeds Director Gage Oxley on his next feature film Wretched Things.

After Wretched Things Jack preformed in two plays in London and had a speaking part in a feature film. And now, after a busy 2018 he is back auditioning for upcoming projects.
