LEEDS CITY MAGAZINE COLUMNIST AND TRAVEL EXPERT, YASMIN MACIS, TALKS YOU THROUGH THE BEST BRITISH HOLIDAYS
Although Leeds has everything you need in a party town, it’s great to get away and see what the rest of the UK has to offer.
I can book you a weekend package at very favourable rates, including hotel, train tickets and even seats at shows, concerts or big sporting events.
You can stay up to three nights on a specially discounted weekend break. Or maybe you’d like to take advantage of the fantastic Friday Night Deal, starting as low as £65 per person, including welcome drink, three-course meal, nightlife voucher and hotel. You could easily spend more in Leeds just sipping cocktails!
With the UK being relatively small, there are loads of exciting party cities within easy reach of Yorkshire. Once I know your budget, I can find you a comfortable hotel right in the middle of the action and get everything booked.
How about heading for Wales and checking out the scintillating nightlife in Cardiff? The city’s undergone an amazing transformation and is packed with seriously cool venues. It’s also home to one of the world’s greatest sporting amphitheatres- the Millennium Stadium. You could take in an international game then head out on the town. If you’re staying three nights, you could also check out the Welsh capital’s many cultural attractions and tourist sites.
Further south, Brighton is a bohemian gay-friendly city, a unique blend of chic nightlife and English seaside charm. Often described as ‘London- on-Sea’, there is so much to explore, including the famous Lanes – a fabulous maze of twisting alleyways, packed with independent boutiques, antique shops and diners. And if you need to clear your head after a night’s clubbing, you can always take a stroll along the pier!
If the north appeals more, the Scottish cities are equally accessible and the different charms of Edinburgh and Glasgow are hard to ignore. The former is stunning and has history in bags plus sophisticated nightlife and some wonderful restaurants. Glasgow, just like Cardiff, has reinvented itself since being named European City of Culture in 1990 and has a vibrant arts and live music scene not to be missed.
There are so many exciting cities to choose from – Newcastle, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol – the choice is yours! Please call me now to book your trip or for further information.
Bon Voyage! Yasmin x
