Thirty Something – I’m past the halfway mark in my 30s and have decided to tackle my skin, hair and body problems, and believe me there’s loads to tackle.
I’ve got to the stage where I’m trying new things to give my skin a boost of radiance, my hair needs bounce and life, and my body needs a giant overhaul.
Hiding my thirty something self, I have selected a few lovely products which stood out, they include:
Illamasqua Hydra Veil
This product is part hydrator and part primer. It’s a cosmetic-care, pre-primer developed to enhance make-up application and longevity by flooding the skin with immediate rehydration.
I’ve been using this product for a month and love it’s jelly-like appearance which turns into silk once it hits my face. My make-up does sit better for longer and I like the overall look of my radiant skin.
30ml is £27 available from Illamasqua, Victoria Quarter Leeds or online at www.illamasqua.com
Di Palomo Dry Oil
This body oil spray can be used on hair and body, I’ve only used it on my body and have to say that I love it. It’s great for this time of year as it boasts luxurious oils blended with vitamin E and natural extracts which instantly absorb into the skin.
Di Palomo have 3 fragrances available; Wild Fig & Grape, Orange Blossom with Wild Honey & Olive and White Grape with Aloe (my favourite).
If you’re feeling adventurous the Dry Oil can be used as an intensive leave-in conditioner. I’ve not yet tried it in my hair, but I will!
Priced at £18 for 50ml, available online at www.dipalomo.com
Lavera is known for inventive organic skincare products, and they recently introduced Hair Care products and treatments.
I tried the Lavera Organic Repair & Care Intense Treatment as my hair was tired, stressed and dry and it definitely helped to give the healthier feel that I wanted.
The Repair & Care Treatment has wild rose extract with natural plant keratin, which created a soothing and conditioning effect and helped prevent tangles whilst it moisturised deep down into my roots.
This is a treatment I’ll look at buying again, especially when my hair starts to feel lack lustre. Available from www.lavera.co.uk, priced at £6.95 for 125ml.
I’m probably going to go to the Spring Fashion Fix event at the Victoria Quarter in Leeds this Thursday 17th April as they are showcasing the best of the Spring/Summer 14 catwalks.
There will be fashion shows, beauty experts, colour consultants, competitions, offers and in-store promotions. Check www.v-q.co.uk to find out more.
