Hammerson, the project developer of Victoria Gate also announced that they have secured two high end retailers in Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger to join the already renowned list of stores from Cos, & Other Stores, Anthropologie, Gant and Hackett.
Hammerson is creating a truly iconic piece of architecture that takes inspiration from its 19th century sister arcade, Victoria Quarter that houses brands including Vivienne Westwood, Jo Malone and Paul Smith.
James Bailey, General Manager at Victoria Quarter and Victoria Gate, said: “As the city’s heritage suggests, Leeds has a huge appetite for retail and we are excited to launch Victoria Gate later this year to build on the premium offer shoppers already enjoy in Victoria Quarter. The brand new shopping arcade is a welcome addition to Leeds, bringing London brands to the area for the first time, helping to propel the city into the top spot to shop in the North.”
Inside Victoria Gate’s twin arcades you’ll find decorative flooring, an ornamental roof and glossy black storefronts. The arcade will be four storeys high and split across two levels, with parking for 800 cars.
And, I have to say that I am really looking forward to Victoria Gate opening. Bring on Autumn!
