“Ice Cube at Millennium Square – 2 – 25 February 2018

The Ice Cube, Yorkshire’s coolest wintertime attraction is back in Millennium Square in February with its undercover ice rink, visitor café and a wide range of winter themed rides and attractions.

Organised by Leeds City Council with support from media partners Radio Aire and now in its 18th year, the Ice Cube will be open from Friday 2 February until Sunday 25 February 2018.

Again this year, it will feature an undercover ice rink allowing visitors to enjoy an outdoor skating experience whatever the weather.

New for 2018 will be the Penguins Club running every Sunday morning, offering parents and children aged 8 and under ice skating sessions in a safe and fun environment.

In addition to the open air ice rink, the Ice cube will provide a line-up of family friendly attractions including the thrilling North Pole Starflyer, the Ice Jet plus the new Ice Slide along with various other winter themed rides for children of all ages.

Alongside general public ice skating there will be an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to hone their skating skills under the watchful gaze of expert coaches. A four-week National Ice Skating Association (NISA) tuition programme for skating enthusiasts of all levels will be held every Saturday morning by Skate UK qualified skating professionals.

A special ‘first steps to skating’ tuition programme for Leeds schools children will also be available during term time for schools to book and a weekly dedicated accessible session every Thursday morning at 10am is available for wheelchair users and the disabled.
