Crowne Plaza Leeds Review

Crowne Plaza Leeds has been through a lot in the past year, from floods and reopening to winning awards. Yet they are ready to get going on the best project of all – the full refurbishment. They’ve taken all of your reviews into consideration and they’ve listened. Because their guests are what matter the most. No stone will be left unturned during this massive £4.5 million refurbishment and they will continue to make each stay a personal and a unique stay.

After City Dweller Magazine launched the new look on behalf of Crowne Plaza Leeds a few of our guests were invited to stay the night to check out what’s new and to enjoy the full Crowne Plaza Leeds Experience. Check out what City Socialite and beauty therapist Alex thought:

I recently had the pleasure to enjoy a stay with the newly refurbished Crown Plaza hotel in my favourite city of Leeds. The new and improved hotel really does give the wow factor as soon as you enter the lobby with an inviting atmosphere and beautifully tasteful decor. The staff were so lovely and helpful on arrival even under the busy circumstances!

The location for the Crown Plaza Leeds is perfect, it was literally a few minutes walk to the city, but hidden far enough to not be disturbed from the noise. Parking facilities are very easy to access and there was plenty of parking spaces so it didn’t to much of a squeeze to park your car. Which is great for drivers like me who aren’t the best at parking!

Me and my boyfriend were lucky enough to get family room, which had two massive double beds which were incredibly soft and comfy (obviously I made him stay in his own bed so I could starfish). They have really maximised the space and it is a really great size for a family room with great storage facilities, they even provided soft and fluffy bathrobes. The room was spotless and spacious with a brilliant bathroom complete with little extras incase they were forgotten along with cards explaining that extra facilities were available on request. On arrival I noticed a little ‘it works’ lavender spray and some chocolates which I thought was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated, I already thought I was in for a great night sleep as the pillows were extra soft but the spray made the bedding even more refreshing.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you would expect from a first class city centre hotel. Overall I found the hotel to be pristine and modern in appearance, the staff are very attentive and go out their way to make sure you have the best experience you can whilst you stay.

In far too many city location hotels, I tend to wake up a lot in the night as there is normally a lot of noise coming from the streets, but slept like a baby with no disturbances except my alarm! I can honestly say the bed was definitely one of best I have stayed in. The variety of teas and coffees available in the room tempted me to get out of the cozy bed especially the biscuits!

Breakfast was brilliant there was plentiful choice with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, there was literally something for everyone! Checking out was so easy with the express check out box and a friendly smile from the staff behind the counter!

Whether you are new to the city or a regular visitor I couldn’t recommend the Crown Plaza Leeds more to make your time in this already fantastic city, any better, the refurb is amazing and the hotel truly is a #jewelinthecity.
